Description

The D-05 is my take on a classic pre-amp distortion pedal in a killer Pink print and then hand finished in a hot pink splatter. The D-05 was originally labelled the DILD-05 by my good friend Mark from Pherotone studios who wondered if we could hydrodip a pedal to be a little more provocative! Haha the answer was yes and we wanted a simple, yet great sounding circuit to go in it. We picked the Dist+/DOD250 and I then modded the circuit as noted below and fell in love with this pedal.

We can still offer the DILD-05 swirls of course and if that interests you then add the comments in your order, the layout will be the same as the one in the swirl photos until the old boards are used up but this will come with a Custom Surcharge of £20 because of the time taken etc. This can be paid on completion to ensure you are happy with the finish etc.

It has several modifications from the original design. First we have a toggle for a thicker, heavier distortion and a warp drive control that shapes the flavour of our distortion from more open, high headroom to a compressed and tighter feel. When the Warp is on the tighter compressed side the volume does drop a little but is made up more than enough with the Volume control.

This is also available in a deluxe version which contains another circuit in a larger enclosure (If you are interested in the deluxe then please email me to discuss options). The other circuit is my super overdrive with modified tone control, LEDs in the feedback loop and a circuit re-bias.

Both the deluxe version and standard D05 are made to order and may take 2/4 weeks before being completed (custom finishes longer).
