The Custom Shop
With the shift to bass for the production range, I couldn’t leave out you sexy guitar players (or anyone who wants something a little different) so here is the custom shop form. Fill it out and then I will get back to you with a quote and if you are happy we can proceed from there. Now this is the important bit, these will not be quick builds. On the quote we will give an estimate of how long the build will take, but this will be an estimate and could take longer.
From Supafuzzes to high gain MIB or preamps. If I can get a PCB easy enough then we will most likely be good to go. If you are wanting custom artwork then you will need to provide that art work in a useable format that we will talk about in our email conversation. Nothing is off the table, you want 3 circuits in one box, if I can fit them in I will! You want a custom hydrodip, yup lets do it.
Custom Shop orders will feature a £50 none-refundable deposit which will come off the total.
The Build Your Own Section!
Build Your Own Fuzz, OD or Distortion with me!
The pedal building workshop will be individuals, so 1 person per space, this means I can give you the support needed to make it happen. No soldering experience is necessary but would be helpful.
Now, I am not the most technically gifted engineer. I’m no Chase Bliss or Analogue Man but I know my way around circuits well enough to be able to teach someone a thing or two.
You wont need anything at all, just a willingness to learn and have fun. We’ll be building in my new studio space and we can discuss exactly what you want to build. We will go over the basics from power filtering, gain staging, buffers and clipping. But like I said, basic stuff, we aint going to be building Sunn ModelT preamps in this session but modded bigs muffs are not off limits! And if you want a simple print design on the box we can sort that too with the help of Adobe AI. We could even build one of my own designs and I can explain why and how I’ve done things. Or if you want to build something simpler and have access to soldering equipment then see further down the page.
You can preselect enclosure colours, a small personalised UV print, transistors, opamps etc via email so that everything is ready to go and we will start with breadboarding the design before, this will give you an idea of how the circuit preforms, we can then transfer that onto a piece of vero or if you just want to build a clone we can look at getting hold of a printed circuit board and build directly onto that. This will probably take the best part of the day for larger, complex builds, so please be aware and prepared. I can supply tea, coffee and juice as well as biscuits!
Again a none-refundable £50 deposit will be taken to secure your build and will come of the total, I am going to be pricing these at around £350 and will be starting late spring 2025. Spots will be limited but I should be pretty flexible to work around what suits for us both.
DIY Kits
Something I have been toying around with has been DIY kits. I’ve done a number of videos on YouTube with DIY vero builds and they seem to go down well with lots of information being asked. So why not offer some kits? Now, instead of just saying, here’s a blank box, with components and a bit of vero I thought we could take it to another level. So everything will be on a PCB, components will be labelled, and a build document will be emailed, however… if you would like a plain enclosure to paint yourself, thats no problem but for a small fee we provide a powder coated enclosure in a few colours with a small bit of personalised text print. Please note that we use Tayda for this and it can take a few weeks for printing to come back.
I want to offer something simple and then something a little more complex so will be offering an Electra style distortion with an optional clean blend and a TurboRAT style pedal with a clean.
The kits will not be covered under our returns policy, but of course if there are any missing bits or values incorrect etc then we will only be an email away.
